top five things

This morning I had a wee chat with a couple of my colleagues about life. I can't remember what triggered the conversation but we were chatting about the top five things we would like to do or accomplish in our lifetime.

Surprisingly enough, I had the same conversation at a recent workshop that i attended and we had to think about the ten things we want to achieve in life.

And here's what I wrote for my Top Five:

1. To be a Mother - It's funny how one's perception changes as one grows older. When i was in my early 20s I used to tell people that i don't want kids but this has definitely change. I do want to have children and most importantly, I want to have the experience of being someone's mother. To have that unconditional and genuine love for that being that only mothers would know. I want to experience all of that and embrace my womanhood.

2. Change of career - Photographer - You may be aware that I love Photography. I love and appreciate beautiful photos and I believe that photos are so important. It dictates and tells a story and it captures the moment. Memories fade but not photographs. I want to be the person behind the camera, capturing the important and beautiful moments of mine and everyone else. I want to be able to be passionate about what I do and waking up every morning with an oomph and looking forward to get to work because I love my job.

3. See the northern lights (Aurora)/ Seven Wonders of the world - One of the few things i would like to do is to see the Seven Wonders of the world but the top one of that would be the northern lights. Nature amazes me and it would be an honour to be able to see it once in this lifetime. Did you know that Aurora was seen in Bluff, New Zealand in 1994?

4. Sky Dive - This may be quite common amongst others but I am a sort of an adrenaline junkie. It may be scary as hell but you know, what's the point if you have never experience something bizarre as this. People said it's unsafe but well hey, life is a risk in general anyways!

5. To grow old together with the love of my life - I know if this was back in the days, it's a no sweat thing to accomplish. But nowadays, I think there are more divorces than actually getting married. I mean, getting married is easy but maintaining a marriage is a whole other story. And to be able to hit those golden milestone is very scarce nowadays so to be able to achieve that with the love of my life would be something spectacular. When I see two very old married couple walking on the street, holding hands, it's such an endearing sight and melts my heart. It inspire me to want what they have. The secret to long lasting love.

So, what are your top five things in life you would like to achieve?
