The husband and I 

G'day! My name is Jolene (or Jo is pretty cool too). I'm from Singapore, my hubby is from New Zealand and our daughter is an Aussie (and Kiwi by descent). I have been married to my gorgeous man for 5 years and we have a three year old daughter who keeps us on our toes.

I moved to New Zealand in 2007 to be with my hubby. A year later, my man took up a job opportunity that was based in Sydney so we packed our bags and moved to the big smoke.  At that time, I wanted somewhere to document our life adventure in Australia so this blog was created. Due to my hubby's job, we tend move every two to three years to a new city, usually between the trans-tasman region. With his current job, we have lived in Singapore, New Zealand, Sydney and currently Perth. We have been living in Perth since 2010. Perth is where we call home now.

In 2012, we plonked a huge sum of our life savings down on a house we love and have since become home owners.

I am a big fan of cooking/baking, photography, running and outdoor adventure. I gave birth to our daughter in 2011 and the last three years have surely been the most challenging yet rewarding and amazing time of our lives.

I am also a full time working mum. It is not the easiest having to juggle and fulfill all my roles but I do my best. It is what fits me and makes me happy, although it does come with a hefty price!(exorbitantly high childcare fees!!)

This blog is an avenue where I can be myself, away from the hectic daily grind. This is also the space where you'll find me talking about and my personal interests, particularly in food, travelling, parenting and other things I fancy.
