christmas feast

This past few weeks has been quite full on for me, both work and personal front. Everyone is winding down to year end and trying to tie up loose ends at work while busy busting through shopping malls getting Christmas shopping done at the same time. Amongst other things, attending Christmas parties after Christmas parties, it’s crazy but so fun!

I just love this time of the year because it’s basically a whole month of festivities – It’s buzzing Christmas spirit everywhere. Christmas is my favourite holiday and I always look forward to this every year with aplomb because usually I get three weeks holiday break from work. It’s great.

Speaking of Christmas, it’s time to put my ‘chef’ hat on once again. I’m starting to plan a list of what to cook for a Christmas feast. Given that it is the Oz/Nz way of life, I think doing a Barbie is looking like a top choice for now. It’s easy, simple and good for entertaining. We have extend our invitation to a couple of friends, mine and Johns who are typically people who are stuck in Perth and don’t know what to do for Christmas, mostly friends who just relocated from overseas.

Some of the standard items will definitely be on the list. Mostly desserts like, Pavlova, Trifle etc. I mean, what is a Christmas feast without the Christmas dessert eh?

So what are you going to be cooking for this Christmas?
