what sleep?

These days, getting a full night sleep is a luxury. Nobody tells me this is going to be so hard. All that plan of getting as much sleep as possible in the last few weeks is all rubbish. Just last night, John had to sleep in the guest room just so both of us can get comfortable enough to sleep. He's a light sleeper and my moving about ALOT is not helping him sleep. Me on the other hand need more space for my million pillows and also makes it easier for me to switch from one side to the other without much pain and discomfort.

My sleep routine these days goes like this:

1) Making sure I position two pillows for my head at a good angle so that it could help ease off the heartburn during the night

2) Slowly sit on the edge of the bed, gently lie on my side with the support of my elbow until I'm totally down.

3) Then I place a pillow in between my legs and place my bellybean pillow to support my belly and my back (See what I mean when I say I need more space!) all these while making sure my pillows are not overtaking the whole bed but its so hard!

4) Turn off the light and try to sleep

5) 5 mins in, not comfortable - try and adjust pillows and make sure i'm confortable, repeat this for the next 15 mins.

6) Nope not comfortable. Have to heave myself up in a sitting position and turn to my other side, and rearrange the pillows all over again.

7) When I've finally found a comfortable position, I need to go pee badly!

8) So I help myself up and off the bed which usually takes a couple of mins and then slowly waddle to the toilet and do my thing.

9) Once that is done, I give a big sigh and repeat the above step all over again. This goes on quite abit through the night because you know I am now a peeing machine.

Eventually I get too exhausted and fall asleep. By then, in about two more hours I will be woken up by John's alarm. The story of my life.
