Jeepers, I've been a little radio silence here. I've been well caught up with, life! Alot of things have been happening. March/April is always a busy time for the McLeans.
Let's see, we've got our wedding anniversary (4th one if you might) coming up and John's big milestone birthday, I won't say how old because he's still coming to terms with that one, and due to that we will be having friends visiting from Sydney and staying with us to celebrate the occasion. Thankfully, his birthday falls during the Easter long weekend so its even more awesome. A long weekend of celebration and fun.
Something to look forward to.
Last week, our friends, gave John an early surprise birthday present. They bought him, well us, tickets to the Russell Peter comedy show knowing how much a big fan both John and I are. He didn't tell John until the day itself and he was really surprised, in a good way of course. I knew it all along because I had to organise babysitter and all that without him knowing so it was very difficult to keep a secret for 3 months!
It was really really nice because god knows how long it has been since we both actually went out at night without a baby on the hip! Outings like this are very few and far between so when we actually do, it's much much treasured and very special. I managed to get our neighbour to come over to babysit S. So grateful that we have awesome neighbours we could trust!
We finally saw the specialist for S's ears. Well, it only took a 3 months wait! I know right! If I know you in real life, you should probably know that S has suffered some bouts of recurrent ear infections. She is going to get grommets put in her ears to help with the infection and the tubes will help drain the fluid out, rather than get stuck behind her drums. It would also help with her hearing better and this way her speech development would improve. Well, I don't blame her! How could anyone hear properly with fluid stuck behind the drums. Some people (ahem!) with normal ears couldn't even hear properly let alone those with ear problems! LOL! So that's happening just after Easter.
So there you have it, busy lives we lead. J and I are head on busy with work, given that it's nearing the end of the financial year and everyone is trying to close the last quarter with a triumph.
But coming home to our gorgeous girl melts all the stresses away. She certainly reminds us to thank our blessings and keep us grounded.
Oh by the way, she turns 18 months today. Happy 1.5 years my sweet sweet possum! Couldn't imagine life without you in it! We love you so much!
