Mother's day 2013

Since I have a moment to spare this morning, I thought I'd better pen down what I did for Mother's day this year. I love special occasion like this, call me old fashion but I really think that a day specially dedicated to Mothers should be celebrated, be it simply or extravagantly, as I believe it is a privilledge to be able to celebrate this day as a mummy with my beautiful child and husband.

Breakfast fry-up.... John's style :)

This year would be my second Mother's day. I slept in till 8.30am and was woken up by both my most favourite people in the world serving me breakfast in bed. They also gave me my favourite box of chocolate and a little canvas drawing that Scarlett did for me. They are too cute!! We all had breakfast in bed together. Cuddles and kisses all around. It was so nice.

Later on, we went out for Mother's day lunch at The Beach Shack in Hillarys. We later went and got some fro-yo for dessert which I absolutely love! As it was my day, I get to chose where and what to do so I opted to go to Bunnings. Haha. It was either that or Ikea but I thought I'd spare my husband the cruelty of going to Ikea because he hates that place so Bunnings it was. We went to pick up stuff for our house, a garden plant, garden solar lightings, new numberings for our letterbox and house and other bits and bobs and went home afterwards.

I am addicted to this! So yummy!

When we got home, we did abit of a tidy up in our front garden. We dug out the dead plant and replaced it with the new one. We changed our mail box numbering and also put in our house number  by our front door. I picked up some weeds, water the plants while Scarlett watched and 'helped' me.

John also did all the chores that I have asked  him to do for weeks which I am so pleased about. Haha.

I had a great Mother's day, even though it was a simple one, like any other weekend, it was just what I wanted.

Happy Mother's day to all the wonderful mummies out there, especially to my Mother and my Mother in law.

My little sweet possum! Love her to bits!
