So, we recently came back from our holidays in Sydney and New Zealand. We had such an awesome time! Granted that I had to do some work while I was on holiday but it's still pretty awesome.

We broke our trip up and made a stopover for two days in Sydney. We caught up with our good friends J & C where they hosted our stay and took us out to Taronga Zoo. We've been to the zoo a few times when we lived in Sydney but without a child back then so it made a lot of sense to bring Miss Bossy there this time. Given that we only had a full day in Sydney, we decided to make it a kids friendly day. It was a lot of fun! We pretty much spent all day at the zoo and then headed back to an Irish pub near our friend's place for dinner.
It was so lovely to be able to enjoy some time with our friends. The Husband and I really miss hanging out with our mates. The bane of having to live so far away from everyone else! If only we all live in the same city!
Beautiful 25 degrees winter morning! Not much of a winter is it?

Miss Bossy scoured herself a snow leopard toy as a souvenir.
Miss Bossy enjoyed her time in the petting zoo where she met Frankie the baby goat. He was too cute!
Well, you got to feed the sheep... Ain't no zoo trip without feeding some animals!
Mesmerised by the sheep. I think Scarlett was quite amazed at seeing the real thing, rather than the ones in books or TV.
Tuckered out after a day at the zoo.
Miss Bossy had a nap on our way back to our friends. When she woke up, we went out to an Irish pub nearby for some pub food dinner. She was really good at the pub and was kept entertained with the provided colouring set and pencils.
I didn't realise how much I missed Sydney until this trip. It brings back good memories for when we lived there. We have not been back since we left in 2008 and it was certainly a great idea that we stopped over, even if it means for a couple of days.
Till next time!
xo, Leney
