Strawberry picking

We had a busy weekend. Busy with stuff. You know, that kind that's non eventful but just busy. We were suppose to catch up with a friend at their place but that got cancelled last minute as her daughter wasn't feeling well so we rescheduled it to this coming week. We had a slot to fill and I decided that we went strawberry picking.

It happened that there is a strawberry farm 10 mins drive from us. The farm is open to public for picking, which makes it a rather popular spot.

Just as we were about to start picking, Miss Three decided that she wanted to go potty.

Like really? In the middle of no where?

Yes really.

So off I went to ask the farmer. Farmer said there were no toilets around but there's one up in the shed which was about 200 m away and offered to ride us there on the quad bike. Clearly farmer lady had no clue whatsoever for safety.  I appreciated her gesture but had to turn her down.  She then said if I don't mind, we could go into the side bushes.

What other choice do I have, right?

So in the bushes we went. It was a theatrical performance to say the least! There was a lot of trial and error, with me laughing my head off most of the time but we got there in the end.

It was hilarious to say the least.

Miss Three was literally in strawberry heavens.  She loves strawberries so it's pretty much like a eat all you can buffet to her. She's not very good at picking the good ones though and was going at a very slow pace.

Because she was too busy stuffing them into her mouth as she went along. Strawberry field is just too tempting for this little girl.

The strawberries were beautiful! Fresh and sweet! Always go for the darker red ones.

We picked 3kgs worth of strawberries which only cost us $5. It goes to show how much profit those bloody supermarkets made out of these!

Will be back for sure.
