So we went to the Singapore Community Day which was organised by the Singapore High Commission and the Overseas Singaporean Unit. This event was organised specially for Singaporeans who are living in Australia and for everyone to get together and have a nice Sunday family day sort of thing and enjoy the Singapore delicacies that are provided at the event. I was most keen on the food of all things, as you know me, so I dragged John with me.

There were 9 food stalls and about a couple more games/cultural stalls set up at the venue. I thought the location was a great pick as it was by the water (Matilda Bay) and the weather couldn't be any better.

Most of the people there came with families and they were smart enough to bring along picnic mats and foldable chairs. If we knew better we would have brought them along as well but oh well, diddums. As soon as the food stalls started operating, everyone started approaching them like hungry vultures and of course, we followed suit. Afterall, I was mainly there because of the food remember? Yeah I know, foodaholic is my middle name.

We didn't managed to try all of them though because by the time we got onto the Char Kway Teow, we were pretty full. It's a shame because I would have loved to sample them all but you can't win really. When tummy says 'NO YOU HAVE ENOUGH', thats the end of it. I guess it's a good thing afterall.
