little fishes

We enrolled missy moo into a babies swimming class at the local aquatic centre. This particular class is for infant aged 6 - 9 months and it goes for 10 sessions, once a week on the weekend.

Hubby usually goes into the pool with her as its their bonding time. I must say its very entertaining and funny watching babies in the pool. They just simply love the water! I was on the sideline watching on like a proud mummy and noticed that all the other babies were so happy in the water. Giggling and splashing their tiny hands against the ripple, squealing in delight. Happy days.

The class is catered to a group of 8 babies. They generally sing nursery rythmns while swishing and swashing in the water. The instructor will take out toys and let them float about in the water and parents would then 'make' the baby swim towards them. Floats were also taken out and babies will cling onto them while the parent would walk them in circle singing a song.

I think it's a pretty awesome that they have this sort of activity for young babies. We are definitely signing her up for the next semester but will be at another aquatic centre near our new home since we are moving next weekend.

Stay warm! It could be babybrain but I'm finding this winter colder so far.
