a year older, and wiser

So it was my birthday yesterday and we had a nice low key celebration this year.  With so many exciting things happening this month and Scarlett in her nasty teething mode, this sort of low key affair is just what I wanted. 

I had a lovely day at work where I was spoilt with flowers, gift and cake by my workmates. One of them actually baked me an unforgettable Chocolate Mousse cake which everyone around my workspace were like hungry vultures hovering around waiting for an invitation. Well, of course me being the lovely person that I am, offered them. All gone in 15 secs because it was that good.

My lovely husband and gorgeous baby girl gave me a huge bouquet of flowers and a cute little gift. Since we could not bother with getting a babysitter and all that fuss, we ordered take away and enjoyed a lovely dinner in. Gourmet pizza, beer battered chips and chilli mussels were absolutely delicious along with a bottle of vino, couldn't be any perfect. John sang me a birthday song, I made a wish, blew out the candles and we ate cake.  Simple, perfect and went to bed with happy bellies.
