The long weekend has been great. In true McLean style, we didn’t really do much. We stayed home, caught up with pay per view movies, did some baby clothes shopping, had Barbie for dinner and enjoying the warm weather. I caught up with batches of laundry which was fantastic! I hate doing laundry but it’s one of those things you have to do. It had been raining for a few days last week so you could only imagine the amount that have to be washed. Since the sun was out I thought I might as well make the most of it! Even the bed sheets were washed! Mighty please!
I did intended to do picnics at Kings Park and visit the wildflower show but we tried doing that the other week but it was a nightmare to get a car park! Everyone had the same idea around here it seemed and we don’t get up early enough to go catch the worm (car park). Sleep-in is very important to both J and I these days so talk about prioritizing! (We took turns to sleep in, one of us gets to look after the ‘queen’ while the other sleeps.)
Anyway, we’re quite homebodies so we’re happy to stay at home and enjoy our new house. It won’t be for long until S gets older and our weekends will be filled with swimming, ballet, playgrounds and whathaveyous!
Here’s a cute photo of S I took on the weekend. She loves our cats but unfortunately the feelings are not mutual. Pinky, our resident queen of the McLean’s pet has this favorite chair on the outdoor furniture where she always sleeps on and S knows it. As it was a hot day we opened the French doors and S crawled out to the alfresco looking for Pinky. She’s smart enough to know which chair to go to, pulled her self up and peeked to see if Pinky was there! Unfortunately, that cat was one step ahead of her and sat on a different chair because she knows S was going to irritate her. Bloody smart if I say so myself!
