climbing

We used to enclose Scarlett in the living area and block her off by moving furnitures so that she would only play in a certain area, preventing her from exploring the whole house and getting her hands on everything.

But over the weekend, we discovered her new trick, and that is climbing! Imagine the horror! So I knew it's about time we stop enclosing her and let her roam as freely as she likes. However alot of baby proofing was needed and thankfully I managed to do that yesterday. I had the rare opportunity to be home on my own so took every chance to do that.

She walked and walked, up and down the hallway, into the living room and kitchen and everywhere she could step foot on. She loved it. I think we did the right thing and now, she's happy and no longer climbing over chairs to get out!

The verdict? Happy Scarlett!

All knackered out but happy smiles all way round!

Here is a short video of Scarlett giggling away while I played sillybuggers with her :)

PS: We later found out at childcare that one of her best friend, Oscar, has been climbing alot and she's been following his actions... it's pretty much a 'monkey see monkey do' concept here. Little monkey indeed!
