[Weekend Series]: Caversham Wildlife Park

We finally went to Caversham Wildlife Park. Believe it or not, we have never been here after living in Perth for three years. I knew about this place but since I've been to plenty of wildlife parks in Australia and believe me, they are all pretty much the same so I didn't really bother. But since, Scarlett is at that age where she would appreciate animals, I decided it's time we pack our butts and bring her there. We had plan to bring her a few weekends ago but with the horrible weather we had lately we had to shove the plan aside until last weekend.

Anyway, we brought Scarlett to zoos and animal farms many times before but I think she enjoyed this trip the most. Perhaps due to the fact that she's a bit older and able to understand and know what she's looking at. It was actually quite a fun trip for us too - to watch her being so happy in the presence of animals. Such an animal lover she is - just like mama.

She saw kangaroos, koalas and wombats for the first time and she really loved it. I think she enjoyed the roos the most!

Rocking the look!

She know she's got it!

Waiting patiently with PoPo (Grandmother) for her turn to pat the roo

She found someone her own size! At one point, she went 'meow' to this baby roo! LOL!

Happy as Larry!

We spent quite some time in the open kangaroo exhibit. I guess it's always nice to be able to get so close to an animal and kids just love that. The kangaroos were all so laid back and friendly.

Scarlett also decided that it was much more fun chasing ducks. Here's a video of her doing so!

Not a very good photo of me but here's us making our way to see the koalas..

Meeting Koala for the first time.. :)

More roos... can't get enough of them!

Oh she loved the bunnies! She kept waving to them and went Haiii!!! lol

Family pic!

There's actually plenty to do at Whiteman Park beside the wild life park. We plan to come back another time and check out the other things they have there. It is a very family oriented place, great for kids/ children. There's also heaps of picnic grounds, playgrounds and such and I think we'll definitely be back when the weather gets warmer!
