We do have gorgeous beaches in Perth!
The lovely Spring weather is finally upon us! After weeks of much dreaded rain, and a house manifested with Portuguese millipede, the sun is shining! Those damn millipedes. They are doing my head in. When it rains heavily for more than a day, they start creeping out of the garden beds, lawns and onto the exterior walls of our house. Some may get adventurous and creep in through the front door!
I'm not eeky of them as they are harmless but it's just painful to keep sweeping them or pick them up and flush them down the toilet. Two of our neighbours had professionals to come and rid of them about more than 6 months ago but after chatting with them recently, it appears that it didn't help much! Oh well, these buggers are usually gone in Summer anyway, which means months and months of millipede-less. Yay! But we ought to do something about it permanently so they don't ever come back.
So, we had another lovely weekend! Miss Bossy's cough came back with a vengeance and it was quite bad on Saturday. Even though she was hecking away all day, she was still full of beans playing around the house and watched a bit of telly. We didn't do much as we thought we will stay quiet so she can rest and feel better, only to pop out to get fish and chips for dinner and swing by a local playground for some swing-slide time.
Miss Bossy did felt better on Sunday so I insisted we get out of the house for some fresh air and given that the sun was shining, we packed our towels and headed to the beach! It was lovely. Not too hot, not too cold, just nice! I love Spring and the kind of temperature it brings but unfortunately for me, it's all going to end soon when Summer starts creeping in! Oh yeah, its no secret I dislike Aussie summer - I'm talking about days and days of 40 C and above! Its just too hot!! I could tolerate 30C to mid 30s C but anything over 38 C in my opinion is just frying. The bad news is we get plenty of days 40C and above - you get the picture? Anyway, I digress...
The beach was not busy which was brilliant. But I guess it was due to the fact that we chose a more isolated area. Miss Bossy was a bit wary of the sand but she warmed up to it pretty quickly. She had fun throwing sand at us and enjoyed her little stroll, hand in hand with her daddy. She wasn't too keen on the water though but never mind, we will break that wall down another time!
THE 'stop taking my photo mum' look
'Mum? I think there's a fly on your lips!' LOL!
And off they went for a stroll, with Miss Bossy tugging her wagon along.. And yes, you are looking at the crazy daddy in jeans... on a beach.. I KNOW! lol!
xo, Leney
