Did you have a good weekend? We had a nice one despite a few meltdowns here and there but overall still considered a good one. I don't have high expectation of my weekend, as long as Miss Bossy is happy and somewhat well behaved (granted she's allowed some meltdowns, given her terrible two stage) and that's good enough weekend for me!
On Saturday we went to visit my girlfriend who just gave birth to her baby boy. It was a rather, quick visit! I managed a quick cuddle and chat before we had to leave the hospital because Miss Bossy decided she had had enough and went on a full-on melt down. John had to take her outside the building because she was very loud. She was so loud I could literally hear her from upstairs so I had to excuse myself from my friend to rescue the husband. As I was walking out of the ward, I saw the staff (midwives and nurses) looking down the stairs giving evil glares and them saying something about 'that screaming child'. I felt like saying something to them but I held my tongue back. To be honest, I would have thought given that it was a maternity hospital, they, of all people, should know better what toddlers are like!
Anyway, that was the end of the hospital visit. We were there for 15 mins and left. Bloody two year olds and their melt-downs. They really don't call terrible twos for nothing!
However, we had a lovely and productive (for me) Sunday. We took Miss Bossy out to the playground but it was a short trip as yet again, she had a mini melt-down. It was just bad timing as it was near her nap time so she gets SUPER cranky when she's tired. We need to implement a better time management next time I think! At least she did enjoy some 20 mins of playtime. When we got home, I attacked my pantry and did a massive clean out. The husband and Miss Bossy had a great time out the front playing chase and what not. I took a couple of funny videos of them playing below.
