If you are still reading this that is. Wow, it's almost two months of me going missing in action from this blog. It happens every year unfortunately as Nov-Dec is the most busiest period in terms of social life and work of course. J and I also break from work for about 2 weeks as well so it's really a nice time of festivities and just having fun.
Fun, it sure was. We had a lovely break and also had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas and New Years with friends. I have such a backlog of photos and blogging to do that to be honest it's a bit daunting to 'catch-up' on what has happened during this time I was away. Nothing really, just a lot of fun.
To recap on 2013, even though it's only a week late, all I can say is 2013 has been kind to us in many ways.
The highlights for 2013 were:

We managed to do two travels in 2013 - Singapore, Sydney/New Zealand which was really lovely. It's always nice to be able to go back to our homelands and visit families and friends. Its not often we get to travel much or travel at all given how expensive it is to travel with children, more so now that Miss Bossy is two!
We had a celebration for the Husband's 40th birthday - which was a memorable one for him and all of us.

We had the Mothership came to stay for 3 months which was a great help for us in terms of babysitting and also just nice to be able to spend time with her.
Miss Bossy turned two! Lord Almighty!
Some not so good news:
We lost our cat, Pinky this year. It was a very sad time for us when that happened. It is never easy to lose a pet and Pinky was definitely a big part of our lives. She was our first pet when John and I got together. We adopted her in New Zealand and she's been everywhere with us. She was a great great cat and it was very sad to have lost her. Pinky lost her battle to feline cancer and it was very sad for us to watch her deteriorate so quickly before our eyes. However, when the time came for us to put her to sleep, I think part of us found peace knowing that she would no longer suffer. We had a wonderful 6 years together and she will remained forever in our heart.

I don't really do resolutions because half the time it never happens anyway. All I ever wish and hope for this new year or every year for that matter, is for my family and the people that I care about to be healthy, happy and wish them all the success in whatever they do.
I wish you all, my dear readers, a very happy new year and I know 2014 is going to be a rippa one yet!
