With the new year comes new beginnings.
In this instance, it's a new change for Miss Bossy. I decided that since Miss Bossy is now a proper little girl, and the fact that she is no longer a baby, she deserves a proper little girls room.
So one afternoon I gathered my mojo and worked on her room. I did not buy anything new, and only work with what she's already got. I took away the nursing glider chair out of her room as we obviously no longer need that now and with that gone, the room suddenly became so much bigger! Not that her room was big to begin with but that chair just pretty much took up almost 2/3 of the space!
I had The Husband transformed her cot into a toddler's bed and I move things around. By just doing that, the room looks different and spacious! If I have plenty of money to spare, I would totally go out of the way and do an overall transformation with new paint, furniture and accessories but no, we are on a budget here. For now, I'm happy with this change but what matters most is that Miss Bossy has to like it.
The verdict? She LOVED it! Since the change, she has been spending a lot of time in her room and much to The Husband's dismay, she dragged him in there with her to do drawings, reading and doddling on the chalkboard. And if you know The Husband, he would rather park his bum on the couch watching telly!
