Farmer's Market

We visited a farmer's market on the weekend and what a lovely surprise that was! It was lovely little market tucked away in a primary school compound in a neighboring suburb.

I have been to a couple farmer's market and they had not been very interesting but this was good. The buzz, the people and the stuff sold at this market were excellent. People were so friendly and we chatted to a couple of random people like we've been friends for a long time. Plenty of people bought coffees, nosh and sat on the grass, going about their day. Older children were having a blast at the playground not too far away from the market while the younger ones kept close to the parents. Accordions were there playing music for entertainment. What a fantastic atmosphere!

Perth is funny like that. Those hidden gem of places here are typically not broadcast publicly and you need to either hear it by word of mouth, people that are aware of places as such or chance upon them coincidentally. That's what happen to us, our good friend actually live a few houses down and I saw the sign outside of the school when we drove by to our friend's. Lucky for us hey!

We were most impressed with the quality of the fresh produce by the local farmers! Night and day compared to the supermarket! We bought what we needed for the week - we normally do our grocery shopping at Woolies but considering that the cost are about the same and quality is far more better than Woolies, it would be a fool not to.

Miss Bossy on the other hand enjoyed munching on Ham and Cheese bread that she picked from the German bakery stall and sipped on yummy organic fresh fruit juice. A friendly stall owner gave Miss Bossy a free balloon and she was well over the moon with that.

We declared that we are coming to this market every weekend to do our shopping of fresh produce from now on. It would also be a nice little weekend outing for us.

Our loot!

xo, Miss Leney
