Quite a few things had happened since my last blog entry. I think the most commendable one would be that Miss Bossy is potty-trained!
You read that right. It took us 4 days tops from when we switched her to knickers to being totally potty-trained. How funny. It took us 2.5 months to make the decision of putting her in knickers as before that, she was wearinng pull-ups and it was going no where. One of the carer suggested this approach to is by just switching to knickers as they tend to learn quicker that way and it was the best advice given to us. She was right.
It is a big deal to be potty trained. I am so proud of her, clever little thing.
Husband and I also recently celebrated our 5th year wedding anniversary. As it was on a Friday, we took the day off, drop Miss Bossy off at childcare and had a mini date to ourselves which was lovely. We had a nice lunch and movies after. Just what the doctor ordered for two very knackered and date-deprived parents.
I am currently nursing a tonsillitis. This would be the first one this year. I had a look at the doctor's record last evening when I visited him and the last one was last May so it wasn't too bad. But having said that, I've contracted tonsillitis 3 times last year. He did asked if I want to see the throat doctor and get them out and I said no. But we'll see. If I'm going to suffer through multiple times again this year, perhaps I might just toy with the idea. Might. In the meantime, antibiotics it will be.
You know, I'd only get them when Miss Bossy is sick. It's like a marriage. I did keep track. I noticed that whenever she gets the cough my tonsils will suffer. She loves nothing more than sharing her germs with Mama by coughing into my face many times in a day.
Kids.
xo, Miss Leney
