The husband turned a year older last week. We had a pretty laid back birthday celebration with just our good mates at their home.
They invited us over to dinner where they cooked us a delicious pot of coq au vin. It was so good! We also drank wine and played a few games of pool. They have a pool table in their house so that was pretty neat. Not that I played but the boys did. I was happy enough chilling out with a glass in hand and chatting away with my girlfriend.
Given that we were all in a celebratory mood Miss Bossy was allowed to stay up abit later. She was happy enough to just hang out with us.
After she went to bed, we ate cake and carry on through the night.
I did eventually trail off to bed at almost midnight, well, the ladies did anyway and the boys continued on until who knows what time. John was a bit rough the next morning so that was a good enough indicator that they went on pretty late.
