Happy Easter!

Easter came and gone, just like that. I love the Easter break as we normally get a super long weekend even though we didn't really do much. Aside from meeting a girlfriend and her little girls at the markets, and to the park for some swing time, we pretty much played homebodies.

This year Easter was much more interesting and fun for one little lady. It was also really nice that I was able to start a little Easter tradition with her. We had been doing a lot of Easter craft activity leading up to Easter and Miss Bossy quite enjoyed that. She loves arts and crafts.

During the long weekend, we met up with my girlfriend, J, and her girls again. Let's call the older one, Miss Pink and the youngest one, Miss Fearless (hope you don't mind J!) It was lovely to be able to hang out with friends who have similar age group kids. I always enjoy meeting them.

How much is that dog in the window???

Discussing among themselves which ice cream flavour to get, as you do.

The girls did face painting, they each had a free dog shape balloons, ate ice cream, drank babycinos, running around at the playground and around the markets chasing each other down like a mad thing. We, mummies, were knackered out by the end of it but at least the little ones had fun.

Three little girls in a trolley eating choccie eggies! Nom nom!

Babycino time! How cute are these three?!

On Easter morning, I had anticipated that there was a possibility that Miss Bossy would wake up at sparrow's fart so I set my alarm for quarter pass 5. It was painful enough to get up so early on a Sunday, but, pale in comparison to hiding those eggs in the dark and cold! And still in my sleepy state might I add! I didn't want to hide them the night before because I don't want to create the case of ants manifestation, you know?? Ahh the things Mothers do for our children!

True enough, she got up not long after I crawled back to bed. Of course, why wouldn't she? Here I was, really, REALLY hoping that, maybe just maybe, I could get another hour of shut eye. And, just as I was getting so comfortable, I began to hear little footsteps and soon followed by this looovely voice, 'Hello Mummy! Get up!!' And that was that. Bye bye sleep. What did I say before? Bloody Mother's intuition.

The husband went back to bed, as you do. Miss Bossy and I had breakfast and then we started the egg hunt after. It was a shame the husband missed out on watching Miss Bossy doing the egg hunt because it was the most hilarious and cutest thing ever!

Compared to last year, this year, she knew what she was doing and meant to do. Thankfully, clever mummy had it recorded on video so Daddy could watch it later.

I need to be more creative in hiding those eggs next year because it took her less than 5 mins to find them all.  I must have thought too lightly of her capability!

She had her game face on! This was at the door as I was about to release the kraken! Haha

Counting her harvest.. And as you have it, most if not all of them have found their way into Daddy's tummy. :)

Well I hope you had a lovely Easter as much as we did. :)

xo, Miss Leney
