I was treated like a Queen on Mother's Day. I was served breakfast in bed, cooked lovingly by my fabulous husband. What lucky duck am I? Miss Bossy was hanging around on the bed with me as she was eyeing on the sausages on my plate so I shared with her. It was lovely. I also received a lovely card from her.
The husband took Miss Bossy to the park afterwards so I managed to have a quiet relaxing morning in the house, putting my feet up, enjoying a cuppa and managed to watch some weekend news without having to constantly attend to Miss Bossy's whimper every 2 mins. It was refreshing!
Later on, they took me out to lunch at a local bistro. We had a nice tapas lunch which consisted of a small pizza, hot chips, bruschetta and baked scallops that were shared by all. I had a nice lychee cocktail, a little exotic but was very yummy. I also treated myself to a fro yo as dessert afterwards which was fabulous. I was very stuffed towards the end though!
We came back after lunch and just hang around at home. We also had a lovely Skype sessions with both Miss Bossy's grandmothers and the husband mowed the lawn as I asked him to without any of his usual protest so it was real good. lol!
Happy mother's day to all of you and especially to my own Mumma, whom I love very much. I get to see her very soon and we are all very excited for her arrival in two weeks!!
And tomorrow, it's back to dieting and running to burn off all the decadent food chock load with calories I've consumed in just one day! My thighs will thank me later.
