I've noticed big changes in Miss Bossy in the last few weeks. She has got to that 'why mummy why' stage of her life. She asked me the other day 'WHY' when I told her not to do something, can't remember the actual context but I was sure as hell not expecting that! Sure, she was noisy and chatty to begin with but wow, what a huge difference she has been lately its so noticeable. She has dropped her one nap a day, at home anyway, and has a no expiration battery lifespan. I'm not joking, she goes on and on and on, very full on.
She talks a lot more now. like, a lot. A real chatterbox. There's still gibberish but she speaks in short sentences, saying big words that impress me to no end. She's very aware of her surroundings, people's mood etc and sometimes I need to remember that. She's also great at mimicking what we say, and there were a few times she has repeated back what she should NOT be repeating. It really is a big effort on our part to watch what we say and we always seem to forget that she's sitting in the back seat or close-by! I fully understand now why parents love to spell out word in the middle of a conversation and it used to annoy me to no end and I'm literally eating my own words now.
She has a bit of a temper and is quite feisty, wears her heart on her sleeves. She's very sensitive and quite the caring soul. She shows concern on others when she notice they are or appear to be in distress or pain by going up to the person and ask 'Whats the matter?' and offering her kiss to make them feel better. After which she would promptly say 'better?'
She's also got a cheeky and funny streak in her, also loud and vivacious. She LOVES to laugh. Oh her roaring laughter is infectious! So infectious that it could sets off the whole room into fits of laughter.
There's no denying that shes a girly's girl at heart, a little vain to be honest. Loves dancing and singing in front of the mirror. She absolutely loves singing and putting up a show to anyone whos willing to watch. Being a bossypants that she is, at times she demands us to watch her sing and dance. lol
And I don't want to brag but, man does she have some good manners this girl of mine. I'm serious, call me boastful whatever but I'm very proud of her and my parenting skill in this area. I am very big on good manners, and I have relentlessly ingrain this good behavior in her since she could blabber words? I never drop the ball on this one nor do I ever let her go easily when she's not saying back her Ps and Qs when she's suppose to. And guess what? it pays off! I don't have to ask her for it now, and I beam from ear to ear when everyone commented how well mannered she is. Lately, she has progress to saying 'Thank you so much' then her usual 'Thank you'. And also this week, I've noticed she's saying 'No thanks' rather then just 'No'.
We are currently working on disciplining her when she's not suppose to be doing things she shouldn't and that there are consequences. It's getting there, slowly. It has proved to be a challenge, especially with this strong-will child of mine but that doesn't stop us.

Its almost been 3 years but everyday, we are still discovering new sides of her. It is such a fascinating and interesting age. She never fails to amaze us! Sure there are bad days but hey, that's life. She, indeed, brings joy to our lives. The husband and I had a conversation in the car the other day, that he would have never fussed whether he has children or not back in the days and now, he thinks that it is the best thing that ever happened to him and would not have thought any other way. Aawww! Proud daddy moment right there!
